What’s happening to Mega Tickets?

Mega Tickets are being retired from the game. They will no longer appear in the UI or be used for Gilding businesses. 

Why are Mega Tickets being removed?

Mega Tickets, which were puchased with Mega Bucks or Gold, only had one use: to Gild your Businesses to Gold. If you purchased too many tickets accidentally, there was nowhere else to use them. 

Removing Mega Tickets helps to simplify the Gilding system, and helps prevent players from accidentally overspending their resources.

What happened to my Mega Tickets?

All Mega Tickets have been removed from player's inventories. Based on your individual Mega Ticket stockpile, you will receive Mega Bucks as compensation. Compensation for larger Mega Ticket inventories may also include special items like Badges and/or Suits. 

When you log in after updating to version 9.19, you’ll receive your compensation in a special vault popup.

How does Gilding work now?

Rather than using your Mega Bucks or Gold to purchase Mega Tickets, Gilding now uses Mega Bucks only.

  • Gilding is done per generator as always. 

  • Gilding is achieved through the main UI. Tap on "Boost" to get started. 

  • You can choose which generators to upgrade to Platinum and when. You do not need to have all businesses gilded before advancing to Platinum 1. 

  • All businesses must be at Platinum tier 1 before advancing any one generator to Platinum tier 2 etc. 

  • Platinum Upgrades now scale upward at higher tiers. See below. 

Did the cost of Gilding and Platinum Upgrades change?

Yes. Gilding now costs more Mega Bucks at all tiers.

 
Gilding your Businesses provides a massive boost to your profits. These changes will make achieving each tier of Gilding feel more meaningful, and impactful to your overall progression in AdVenture Capitalist.

Here's the breakdown: 

  • Gold (x7.77) = 10 Mega Bucks per business (100 total)

  • Platinum 1 (x17.77) = 10 Mega Bucks per business (100 total)

  • Platinum 2 (x77.77) = 30 Mega Bucks per business (300 total)

  • Platinum 3 (x777.77) = 100 Mega Bucks per business (1000 total)

  • Platinum 4 (x7777.77) = 500 Mega Bucks per business (5000 total)

*Example is based on Earth, or a planet or destination that has 10 total businesses. 

Does this affect my existing Gilded or Platinum boosted businesses?

No. All current Gilding and Platinum boosts remain intact. Only the currency used for future upgrades has changed.
