Game problems, Capitalist? Are you experiencing issues with your game? Our general troubleshooting can help with:
  • Crashing during gameplay
  • Lagging animations
  • Connection issues (Eg. Errors entering Events)
  • Ad errors
  • Missing purchases or rewards
  • Goals that are stuck
We've got some general troubleshooting for you to try!

Android

- Make sure your game version is fully updated
- Make sure you have the latest version of Android available for your device (Android 7.0 or higher required)
- Close and reopen the app
- Close all apps running in the background
- Reset your current internet connection
- Switch to a strong Wi-Fi connection
- Clear AdVenture Capitalist's cache following these steps:  Settings > Apps> A dVenture Capitalist > Storage > Clear Cache
- Disconnect from any VPNs or ad blockers

Ad Issues:
After attempting the above troubleshooting:
- Try disabling Interest-Based ads in your device's settings. You can opt-out of interest-based ads following these steps: Google setting > ads > opt OUT of interest-based ads
- Disable any active ad-blocking software

iOS

- Make sure your game version is fully updated
- Make sure you have the latest version of iOS available for your device (iOS 14 or above)
- Close and reopen the app
- Close all apps running in the background
- Reset your current internet connection
- Switch to a strong Wi-Fi connection
- Force close AdVenture Capitalist by following these steps: Double tap the home button or swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up your recently used apps. Swipe up on AdVenture Capitalist to close it
- Disconnect from any VPNs or ad blockers

Steam - Windows:

Getting a Resolution Error?

1) Right click on AdCap in the Steam Library
2) Go to Properties > Local Files > Browse Local File
3) Select the exe of the game (with the AdCap icon) and go to properties
4) Now go to "Compatibility" and check off the "Disable fullscreen optimizations" box and the "Run this program in compatibility mode for (your current OS)". Apply the changes

*For PC users, some players have mentioned that using Windows 8 compatibility mode works for them.

Different Issue?
Many issues can be caused by out of date drivers. As such, please double check all your drivers – audio, graphics, etc. – for any available updates and apply any that are found.

It may also help to right click AdCap! in your Steam library > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity. This will check for any missing or old files and replace them as needed!
